Support Worker (Young People)

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate support workers to join our team in a beautiful semi-supported living setting for young people.

About the Role?

  • Provide personal care and support to service users with various needs, illnesses, and disabilities.
  • Implement care plans using a person-centered approach while promoting independence and motivation.
  • Assist residents with daily activities such as getting up in the morning, personal hygiene, dressing, and medication management.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to individual preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Perform light household duties including housekeeping and laundry as outlined in care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided, medication support, and any tasks undertaken.
  • Ensure a safe living environment for residents while respecting their choices and rights.
  • Foster good communication and relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders.
  • Supervise and support other support workers in delivering high-quality care services.
  • Report any concerns or issues regarding resident care promptly to the appropriate management.
  • Prepare rota/ payroll and any other duties as required.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years previous experience in a care home / Domiciliary environment is essential.
  • Must hold a QCF level 3 or equivalent (desirable).
  • Evidence of working towards QCF level 3.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and guide support staff effectively.
  • Proficient in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Ability to drive is mandatory.
